Study Article - Ntorya Gas Condensate Field, Ruvuma Basin, Tanzania


Ntorya gas condensate field located in south-east Tanzania and forms part of the Ruvuma Petroleum Sharing Agreement (PSA), which is jointly owned by its operator Aminex (75%) and UK-based Solo Oil (25%).

The JV submitted a development plan for the gas field to the Tanzania Petroleum Development Corporation in September 2017.

FINANCIAL HIGHLIGHTS

Multibillion development projects under execution to transform the tourist city of Arusha, Tanzania

ROBUST multibillion development projects are currently under execution to transform the tourist city of Arusha, President John Magufuli said here, yesterday.
He cited the construction of the 139bn/- Usa River- Arusha road, 42bn/- Arusha Water Project and the Rural Electrification project that will supply power to the region’s over 200 villages.
Dr Magufuli was addressing residents of Sangsi suburb on the outskirts of Arusha city. The ‘wananchi’ had intercepted the presidential motorcade to Kilimanjaro International Airport (KIA) for a flight back to Dar es Salaam, seeking to express their grievances.

In an exclusive interview with the ‘Daily News’ in Dar es Salaam yesterday, TIC Public Relations Manager Pendo Gondwe, said global reports rank Tanzania among the best destinations for investment in Africa.
Ms Gondwe also disclosed that newly registered investments each accounts for not less than $100m, citing the key areas that had attracted investors as agriculture, fishing, energy and constructions and transportation – all of which reflect the country’s focus towards industrial economy.

Chinese Jinpeng become a Cornerstone Investor: Building Jumbo Processing Plant at Lindi

Walkabout Resources Ltd (ASX:WKT) has shown that quality assets in Tanzania attract investment, with Chinese engineering firm Jinpeng Mining and Machinery Co. Ltd. investing US$1 million.

Chinese Neusoft to Build Largest African Medical Equipment Factory in Tanzania


Dar es Salaam — The Government has signed a contract with Neusoft Medical Systems Company Ltd from China for the construction of the medical equipment manufacturing factory.
The anticipated factory will be capable to design and manufacture a wide range of medical products that diagnose, monitor and treat diseases and conditions that affect humans.

Gas Hungry Smelter Under Construction - Production to start Sept 2018


Dar es Salaam — The first plants to process Tantalum and Niobium, worth $40 million is set to be constructed and start production in Tanzania from September next year.
The plants are the first of their kind to be put up in in Africa and will be operating at African Minerals and Geoscience Centre (AMGC). Their construction has been possible after agreements was reached with AB Minerals Corporation, to improve capacity of the centre.

Debt Busted as Brazil wipes out $203million Tanzanian Debt


BRAZIL has officially cancelled 203 million US dollars debt owed by Tanzania accrued from a loan secured from the South American economic power house in 1979 for construction of Morogoro-Dodoma road.

Tanzania's Ambassador to Brazil, Emmanuel Nchimbi and a senior officer in Brazil National Treasury, Dr Sonia Portella signed agreement for cancelling the debt at an event held at Tanzania's Embassy in Brazil capital city of Brasilia, according to a statement issued yesterday.
