GE Consider Selling off Majority Share of Baker Hughes

On Monday, General Electric (GE) CEO John Flannery signalled he would consider selling off its majority share in Baker Hughes, a separately traded company formed by the merger of GE's oil and gas unit and oilfield services firm Baker Hughes.

Solo Oil plc (SOLO: AIM) is pleased to announce that the Company has today entered into a Convertible Loan Agreement ("Agreement") with institutional investors arranged by RiverFort Global Capital Limited ("RiverFort Investors") for a total maximum commitment of US$5 million.  The Company has also drawn a first tranche of US$1.5 million ("First Tranche"), with subsequent drawings against the facility to be at the Company's sole election.

Ntorya gas condensate field located in south-east Tanzania and forms part of the Ruvuma Petroleum Sharing Agreement (PSA), which is jointly owned by its operator Aminex (75%) and UK-based Solo Oil (25%).

However despite much effort, with many promising indications for oil both onshore and offshore, in all of this time there has been only one commercial oil discovery in contrast to the 150-200 Tcf of gas that has been recently discovered offshore.

New Mega Gas Burning Fertiliser plant in the region 104mmscfd required

FOR the first time in the country’s history, the Tanzania Investment Centre (TIC) has officially received an application for the registration of a mega fertilizer plant project worth 1.9bn US Dollars (over 4 trillion/-).

Jay Bhattacherjee update Kiliwani North video interview



Jay Bhattacherjee, chief executive of Aminex plc (LON:AEX) tells Proactive gas production is being restricted at the Kiliwani North well in Tanzania.
The rate is being temporarily reduced to less than 1mln cubic feet per day because the KN-1 well is now thought to be draining only a single compartment within the greater Kiliwani North structure.
