Aminex implements smart strategies "Oil" from the Tanzanian man in the know?

Oil and gas exploration activities make an upward curve when the oil and gas economy is good. And the inverse is true. The activities decline during periods of economic meltdown in the sector.

In periods when oil sells for a lower price in the global market, major oil companies may shift investment to the downstream sub sector of the oil and gas industry...

Aminex to supply Gas for new Uganda pipeline?

An interesting piece emerged over the weekend following recent rumoured discussion of a Tanzania Uganda gas pipeline.  This coming only months after an agreement was reached to build one to carry Oil.  With Ruvuma offering so much promise as preparations for the CH1 drill and pipeline spur to connect to Mdimba plant are underway and Aminex competitors supplying at maximum compacity, I am highly encouraged by this announcement.  The Gas must come from somewhere and Aminex currently look to be in the driving seat as the only supplier likely to be in position to do so.  Add to that, that Tanzania’s own domestic demand is projected to outstrip supply during 2019

Tanzania and Uganda have signed an agreement for the construction a natural gas pipeline.

In Memory of Peter Webb (Webmoor) God Speed our Captain

On Friday 17th August 2018 12:21pm Crusty Pete bought sad news to the LSE bulletin board under the title of “Webmoor: Friend and Aminexer

"I am sorry to say that I have a very painful and upsetting duty to perform today and one that I am finding it truly difficult to to do justice to....

Webmoor's (Peter Webb) wife Joyce contacted me a little while ago to tell me that our great friend and long term Aminex shareholder, very sadly, passed away yesterday. She also asked that I notify his friends on the Board.

I know that he had been really suffering of late and whilst, as Joyce said, "life will never be the same again" he is now at peace and no longer in pain.

I will very much miss him; for his sage like wisdom during our conversations on life, investing and Aminex, and for his combative, insightful comments on the BB."

The following tributes made on the board come from readers and posters on that board and pay tribute to Peter who was a well-respected poster.  This blog post is being made to serve in memory of how well he was regarded

Malcy's Blog Re- Aminex Farm Out

Aminex

I caught up with Jay Bhattacherjee last week to chat about the farm-out deal Aminex has done with Zubair and to try and understand why the market has cooled on the process. I think it is fair to say that the institutional holders are happier than the retail and within that band there are people who don’t agree that it is quite as good as advertised.

It is also worth noting that when I first wrote up my views, before speaking to Jay I was a big fan of the deal and it has to be said that I still am.
