Boardroom Shaping up Nicely - Preparing for the Big Time

I like to keep my feet on the ground but a little positive speculation wouldn't harm sentiment

Speculating but following the announcement in last nights RNS that Mr Sultan Al-Ghaithi, current CEO of Arla Petroloeum LLC, will become a Non-Executive Director of the Company with immediate effect!  As chairman Brian Hall has outlined more appointments, could the next board member come from io_oilandgas, GE_Africa Baker Hughes or McDermott where there is now an established collaboration?  Personally, I think any senior appointment from any of  those would be music to the ears of Aminex share holders.

AEX Chairman Brian Hall

"During the course of the last year, we have considerably expanded our management and technical team and, in addition to today's announcement, we expect to make further Board appointments of independent non-executive directors in the near future."

DIRECTORATE CHANGE - APPOINTMENT OF NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Aminex is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Sultan Al-Ghaithi, as a Non-Executive Director of the Company with immediate effect.

Mr Al-Ghaithi has 18 years of industry experience and is currently Chief Executive Officer of Ara Petroleum LLC where he is responsible for two subsidiary E&P companies operating in Oman. He is a wellsite engineer by background and has previously worked with Petroleum Development Oman and Weatherford International where he was Country and Area Manager in Oman.

Ara Petroleum LLC is a division of The Zubair Corporation LLC of Oman which, through Eclipse Investments LLC, holds a beneficial interest of just under 30% of the Company's issued share capital.  Under the terms of the shareholder approved Shareholder and Relationship Agreement dated 8 July 2016, Eclipse Investments LLC has the right to appoint two directors.  Mr Al-Ghaithi becomes the second representative director to join the Aminex Board.

Mr Al-Ghaithi will be proposed for election by shareholders at the next General Meeting of the Company.

Aminex Chairman Brian Hall commented:

"We warmly welcome Sultan Al-Ghaithi to the Board of Aminex and look forward to harnessing his impressive technical and commercial background as we continue to plan and execute the upcoming drilling programme in the Ruvuma Basin, Tanzania.

During the course of the last year, we have considerably expanded our management and technical team and, in addition to today's announcement, we expect to make further Board appointments of independent non-executive directors in the near future."
